Lacquer boxes

The original "Kiribako" (Pawlonia wood boxes) were used in the Edo period to store kimono, obi, stationery, or to present gifts at a wedding. As the cost of the wood grew over time, these lacquered paper versions were introduced.

Sturdy, shiny, and simply stunning in their own right, they make organizing - and gift-giving - beautiful.
