Locally produced glass screen covers protect cell phone users (2014/12/22)
A cracked cell phone screen is an expensive repair. Fortunately a local manufacturer has produced a glass cover that offers greater protection without having to sacrifice screen clarity.
Dropping your cell phone can lead to a cracked screen.
Replacement can cost thousands, with some simply choosing to buy a new phone. Protection is offered from locally produced scratch-resistant glass screen covers.
Here we see the glass screen cover in a comparison test with a traditional screen protector.
Traditional screen protectors can’t withstand deep scratches.
The glass screen cover yields only shallow scrapes. This company boasts that the material’s strength is higher than tempered glass.

The edges of these 3D glass screen covers are stronger and have a thickness of 0.55 millimeters.

Traditional screen protectors, or protective film, occupy about 60 percent of the market. But actually this glass cover provides much greater protection.
Unfortunately, better protection also comes at a higher cost. This new generation of glass covers can be triple the price of traditional screen protectors.

新手機玻璃貼膜 宣稱耐刮.高強度
手機摔到，就怕螢幕摔破掉，還得花錢去換門面，有手機貼膜業者看準玻璃貼膜對保護手機螢幕的強化度較高，作出了號稱可以全面包覆、耐刮的玻璃貼膜，鎖定高端客群。
手機最怕摔，一個不小心，螢幕恐怕就會整個裂開。
要換螢幕，動輒上萬元，還不如買支新手機，但現在國內有玻璃業者，研發出更耐刮的3D玻璃貼膜。
跟其他的玻璃貼膜比一比，傳統2D玻璃貼膜刮痕深，新的3D玻璃貼膜刮痕淺。業者宣稱，硬度比一般強化玻璃還高。

“這個3D玻璃邊緣做的比較強固，邊緣都還有0.55mm的厚度。”

“所謂傳統的包膜，或是一般保護貼的方法，那個就佔了六成，但是事實上玻璃貼膜對手機的保護度是比較好的。”
不過像這樣的手機貼膜，價錢是一般手機貼膜的兩倍，不算平價，是否真能透過這樣的新玻璃貼膜，來籠絡消費者的心，有待市場考驗。
