Taoyuan County promotes tourism factories (2013/08/01)
Over the past few years, over 20 Taoyuan County factories have opened their doors to tourists. Taoyuan is a national leader in tourism factories, and this summer the county government is going a step further by offering even more incentives to attract visitors.

A master technician also shows how to use six pieces of chocolate to make this pink rose petal, later turning it into a flower which can be paired with green leaves made from chocolate. Others who try create something that looks more like a bamboo shoot, but they still are proud of their work.
Visitors can also design their own puppets or roll up their sleeves and make pineapple cakes. When the cakes are finished, you can take them home to eat.

We believe that by the end of the year, we will surpass 3 million visitors and have revenues of NT$700 million.
Traditional factories are making a major transformation by opening themselves for tourism. This not only increases tourism revenues for the county but also gives residents more places to enjoy their holidays.
