Dance competition contestants take in the sights of Taipei (2014/02/27)
Professional dancers from around the world are gathered in Taipei for the 2014 Asian Tour Taipei Open. Ahead of the competition tomorrow, the dancers had a chance to see some of the city’s favorite tourist attractions, from the Hello Kitty gondolas that lead to Maokong to the Giant Panda House at Taipei Zoo.
These professional dancers use Latin dance moves to put on a show in the square outside of Taipei Zoo. They are there to welcome visitors to the 2014 Asian Tour Taipei Open. This pair has a good impression of Taiwan.
Dancer We love the Taiwanese people and their warmth and love and hospitality for ballroom dancing. We’re dancing tomorrow in the Taipei Arena, so if you don’t have plans, please come out and support us and watch us dance.
Couples from 31 countries will compete for NT$3.3 million in prizes. Included among them are all of the 24 highest-ranked competitors in the world.

Organizers put together a day-long tour of Taipei for competitors. Dancers were able to take in the city’s sights and scenes before the competition begins. |
