North Korea’s Deputy Tourism Minister, Jo Sung-gyu, arrived on Sunday to discuss chartered flights and other travel excursions to North Korea. But Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry only learned about his visit by watching TV, sparking a major controversy. Foreign Minister David Lin responded.

AIT uses booth to promote visa-free entry to US (2012/10/21)

Starting from next month Taiwanese citizens will be able to travel to the United States without a visa. Ahead of the launch, the American Institute in Taiwan hit the streets to promote the new program.

A crowd gathers in front of this department store, not for a year-end sale, but to learn more about going to America visa-free. They are visiting a booth set up by the American Institute in Taiwan.

is be，這種形式不正確，因為is是be動詞，後面不能再加動詞原形be；

 

is to be，表示“已經確定，確信，確認“之意。例：The boy is to come here.男孩確定要過來。

  • 幸福滿屋： 晚餐吃了大碗的鴨肉許外加一大盤小菜。吃完後走在街上心裡感到很幸福。突然看到路邊機車行前面展示的幾輛機車。上面的Logo是英文字的Many。我不禁聯想是否這是在暗示我幸福將會Many many much。正當高興之餘，又看到了前方的大招牌閃著大大的Hotel五個英文大字。我一時眼花，竟反著看成Let Oh. 乖乖！這不是巧合是什麼？這下我真得要去買樂透了。因為這些英文串起來不就是： My happiness is many many much. Let's Oh oh oh ! 嗎？
