From the beginning, Dell's Adamo line of laptops have been anything but status quo. Starting with the company's viral "leaks" on phony fashion sites, straight on to the weird launch / non-launch at CES, and culminating with a burst of PR boasting the systems' surprisingly low-powered internals and freakishly high price-point, it's been nothing if not noteworthy. Now we've finally had a chance to see how Dell's answer to the MacBook Air (and X301 for good measure) performs in the real world. The big question? Is this beauty worth the time and trouble... and that big outlay of green? Read on for an in-depth look at what the Adamo does -- and doesn't -- deliver on.

According to the New York Times, Dell may have a little surprise on the way. Based on some wild trademark searches, a tiny bit of digging on the "internet" using a "search engine," and the lack of eye contact from the company's VP in charge of consumer sales (Michael Tatelman), there's a MacBook Air rival beneath all this subterfuge. It seems that the brand name "Adamo" is registered to the computer-maker with a site to match, and somehow the fashion blog (!?) Uptownlife.net came up with this gem: "Rumor has it that Dell is coming out with a computer called Adamo that will rival the MacBook Air." How they came up with that is anyone's guess, but apparently the look on Tatelman's face when asked about it was enough to convince at least one journalist that this is a done deal. Us? Well we're going to wait and see, but we're happy to work with Commander Adamo as soon as we see him.

Apricot

Also known botanically as Prunus armeniaca,or "Armenian plum", this well-known fruit is native to the Asian regions of Himalaya, China, Armenia and is currently grown in several regions with climates ranging from sub-tropical to temperate and mediterranean.

Apricot trees are very prolific: they can reach 12-15 feet in height and yield fruit for up to 20-25 years.

These trees grow with ovate leaves, about 5-10 cm in diameter and length, with a pointy tip.

Flowers have light pink petals, and only reach a size of about 3-4 cm. Apricot trees produce a fruit similar to peaches, with a yellow, pale color that becomes deep orange when ripe, and it often becomes red on the region most exposed to sunlight. Apricots also contain a single seed, surrounded by a hard, woody shell called "stone".

The inner seed can be eaten and has a taste very similar to almonds, but it contains small quantities of cyanide and should therefore be consumed with caution: it can lead to cyanide poisoning.
